Sharing Knowledge & Culture (Organizations)

Introduction

Deep Roots, Strong Families shares lived experience and cultural teachings through partnerships, presentations, and workshops. Offered in collaboration with health, legal, and community organizations, these sessions aim to strengthen cultural safety, trauma-informed care, and holistic understanding of Indigenous family wellness. 


Workshops are supported through funding partnerships or honoraria — there are no fees for families or communities.

Keynote / Cultural Safety Talks (1 hour)

Powerful, story-driven talks that highlight lived e Powerful story-driven talks that highlight lived experiences and practical pathways toward culturally safe care for Indigenous families xperiences and practical approaches to cultural safety. 

Workshops & Training

Workshops and training sessions are developed collaboratively to meet the needs of each organization or team. 


  • Interactive sessions exploring Indigenous family advocacy, trauma-informed practice, and cultural safety in healthcare, education, and social systems.


Offered in partnership with organizations to support staff learning and policy development. 

Lived Experience Presentations

Personal storytelling sessions that share Indigenous mothering, mental health, and system navigation experiences — connecting lived experience to systemic change. 

Research & Academic Collaboration

Collaborations that center Indigenous lived experience and advocacy perspectives in research, teaching, and program development.


Examples include:

  • Consultation during grant development 
  • Participation in knowledge translation or co-design 
  • Guest lectures and community presentations
